Oil and Grease Resistance
Packages need protection from products that are oily or greasy because paper is prone to absorbing these substances. The transfer of oil and grease to the packaging causes unsightly stains and can destroy the packaging integrity.
Meat is usually considered greasy because of the fat that it contains. However, there is also water to contend with when dealing with packaging meat especially when freezing is part of the equation.
Enviro-Coatings manufactures two primary grease resistant coatings that are described in this section. We are experts in blending custom formulations for unique packaging requirements.

| EC 442 | high performance water and grease resistance, high slide angle |
| Grease-Guard | economical, general purpose oil, grease and water resistance |
| Bake-Guard | used for bakery items, allows some products to be baked in the coated box |
